Georgian Language Day at Beijing Foreign Studies University

On April 12, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People's Republic of China, Paata Kalandadze, visited Beijing Foreign Studies University, where the Embassy organized the "Georgian Language Day" event.

As part of the event, informational and educational activities were held in the university’s open space to mark "Georgian Mother Language Day". Guests had the opportunity to take part in games, learn more about Georgia, and taste Georgian dishes. Participants also received symbolic gifts.

The event was held with the support of the university and involved students of the undergraduate program in Georgian Philology and Kartvelology. During the project, more than 200 people received information about Georgia and the Georgian language.
