Ambassador's welcome Speech

Welcome to the website of the Embassy of Georgia in Beijing!

 

It should be emphasized that the People's Republic of China was the first State to recognize Georgia's Independence. Since the establishment of Diplomatic Relations, cooperation between the two Countries has been actively developing.

 

A new phase of relations between the two sides began in 2023, after a high-level meeting of the Leaders of the two Countries was held in the city of Chengdu (Sichuan Province). As a result, the parties made an Official Statement on the start of Strategic Cooperation between Georgia and the People's Republic of China. The mentioned fact is one of the important events in the history of the bilateral relations of the two Countries, which provides extremely great means of deepening of cooperation.

 

The mentioned fact, renders to me as the Ambassador of Georgia and and to the employee of the Embassy of Georgia in Beijing even greater responsibility. The Embassy will spare no efforts to further deepen the bilateral relations between Georgia and China in the format of Strategic Cooperation. I am confident that successful, practical cooperation between Georgia and China will serve the interests of our Country and the well-being of the population.
