The Unveiling Ceremony of Shota Rustaveli's Bust at BLCU

On September 19, 2024, the official unveiling ceremony of the bust of Shota Rustaveli was held at the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). The event was attended by Georgia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the People's Republic of China, Paata Kalandadze, along with embassy staff.

In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of cooperation in the cultural sphere between Georgia and China, considering this initiative a significant step in deepening these relations.

The ceremony was attended by university professors, Georgian students, and representatives of China Central Television. At the invitation of the Ambassador, Po Yen, the Georgian language instructor at Beijing Foreign Studies University, also attended the event.

It is noteworthy that the bust of the Georgian poet was placed in the central part of the university campus, near the conference hall, in the "Square of Civilizations Mutual Learning."
