Georgian Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China Meets Executive Vice President of the China–Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation (CEATEC)

On January 20, 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Paata Kalandadze, held a working meeting with Ms. Lu Meizhen, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the China–Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation (CEATEC).

During the meeting, the parties discussed the deepening of Georgia–China partnership in the fields of high technology and renewable energy, including CEATEC’s areas of activity in wind, solar, hydrogen, and energy storage.

Ambassador Paata Kalandadze emphasized Georgia’s favorable investment environment, its green energy potential, and the country’s interest in introducing innovative Chinese technologies for the modernization of the energy sector.

Ms. Lu Meizhen confirmed her readiness for active cooperation with the Georgian side and expressed CEATEC’s willingness to facilitate the interest of leading Chinese technology companies in Georgia’s energy market.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain close coordination with a view to organizing joint economic forums and thematic seminars.
