Visit of the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia to China
On November 13-19, 2025, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, paid a visit to the People's Republic of China. The Minister attended the World Chinese Language Day conference, during which he addressed the audience. After the event, together with the accompanying delegation, he held a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Education of China in Beijing, where the parties discussed ways to expand cooperation and issues of implementing joint educational projects.
During the visit, the delegation also met with the leadership of the Nanjing Institute of Railway Technology, during which the parties discussed issues of expanding cooperation and agreed to continue coordinated work in this regard.
The Minister also visited the headquarters of Huawei and held a meeting with the company's management. Special emphasis was placed on the company's installation of smart classrooms in Georgian schools, which is particularly important in terms of integrating modern technologies and artificial intelligence into the educational process.
The Minister was accompanied by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, Paata Kalandadze.
