Georgian Ambassador Attends National Flag Raising Ceremony

On April 1, 2026, Georgian Ambassador Paata Kalandadze attended the National Flag Raising Ceremony of the People's Republic of China, which is traditionally held at dawn in Tiananmen Square, Beijing.

This is a traditional military ceremony of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), which was founded in 1949 and is held publicly in Tiananmen Square. The ceremony is conducted by the Honor Guard Battalion of the Beijing Garrison of the People's Liberation Army.
