Georgian Ambassador’s Interview for the Special Edition of “Beijing Daily”

On March 7, 2025, Ambassador of Georgia, Paata Kalandadze, gave an interview to the special edition of “Beijing Daily” dedicated to the “Two Sessions” process.

In the interview with “Beijing Daily”, the Ambassador spoke about the importance of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the role of the “middle corridor”, which contributes to the strengthening of transport and trade ties between Europe and Asia. He noted that Georgia’s geostrategic location creates new opportunities in the fields of infrastructure, logistics and investments, which further strengthens its role as so-called “regional transport hub”.

A special edition of Beijing Daily, published within the framework of the “Two Sessions”, discussed China’s economic development strategy and its impact on international relations. The Ambassador noted that China’s economic transformation and focus on innovation create new opportunities for strengthening the Georgia-China cooperation, especially in the areas of technological development and digital trade.
The interview focused on strengthening the Georgia-China strategic partnership, expanding regional ties and deepening economic cooperation.

“Beijing Daily” is the official daily newspaper of Beijing, which has been published since 1952. It is the main media outlet of the Beijing Municipal Committee, covering political, economic and social issues of the country. The newspaper is published in print and online formats.
