Georgia’s Participation in the 2025 Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo

On April 18, 2025, Ms. Natalia Kvachadze, First Secretary of the Embassy of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China, participated in the opening ceremony of the 2025 Xi’an Silk Road International Tourism Expo, as well as in other events held within the framework of the Expo.

The exhibition was organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and was held at the Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year’s event was dedicated to the theme: “Promoting Tourism Consumption and Stimulating Industrial Vitality.”

On April 19, Ms. Kvachadze delivered a keynote speech on behalf of Georgia at the Belt and Road Tourism Cities Development Exchange Event, one of the key sessions of the Expo. In her remarks, she presented an overview of Georgia’s strategic tourism development, the dynamic cooperation between Georgia and China, and Georgia’s potential as a diverse four-season tourism destination.

The event brought together 187 delegations from 23 countries and regions, including representatives of Belt and Road partner countries, regional government bodies, tourism companies, and media organizations. In total, the Expo was attended by approximately 91,500 participants.
