Minister Counsellor of the Georgian Embassy meets with the Deputy Secretary-General of The Global Alliance for Trade in Services (GATIS)

On May 27, 2025, the Minister Counsellor of the Georgian Embassy in the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Besik Sharashenidze, held a meeting with Mr. Liang Jing Yuan, the Deputy Secretary-General of “GATIS”.

“GATIS” is an international, non-profit organization focused on promoting trade in services through global cooperation, rule-setting, and innovation. Based in Beijing, “GATIS” operates through partnerships, think tanks, exhibitions, and forums to drive sustainable development and address global challenges, aligning with the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

During the meeting held at the Embassy, discussions focused on the prospects for cooperation between Georgia and “GATIS”, including strengthening trade ties in the services sector, creating new opportunities for Georgian businesses, and implementing joint projects.

The Embassy of Georgia will continue its active engagement with “GATIS” to promote Georgia’s economic interests and contribute to the development of the global trade network.
