Ambassador of Georgia to China Meets Commissioner of the National Health Commission of China

On February 9, 2026, in Beijing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China, Paata Kalandadze, met with Li Mingzhu, Commissioner of the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting highlighted the dynamic development of bilateral relations within the framework of the Georgia-China Strategic Partnership and the continued expansion of cooperation in various fields. The sides exchanged views on prospects for strengthening cooperation in the health sector and agreed on the importance of establishing a practical, results-oriented coordination mechanism.

Particular attention was given to the exchange of experience in strengthening public health systems through the use of modern technologies, as well as to broader issues of cooperation in the health sector.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to maintain regular communication with a view to further strengthening cooperation.
