Visit within the framework of the “World Chinese Language Conference”

From November 15 to 17, 2024, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Ms. Tamar Makharaashvili, participated in the “World  Chinese Language Conference” held in Beijing.

During the opening ceremony of the event, which was attended by the Vice President of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Han Zheng, and the Minister of Education of China, Mr. Huai Jinpeng, the Deputy Minister spoke about the outcomes of the dissemination and teaching of the Chinese language in Georgia.

During this visit, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia also held a meeting with the Director-General of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Yu Yunfeng.

The meeting discussed specific steps for deepening cooperation between the parties.
