Georgia's Participation in the Global Sustainable Transport Forum 2026

From 21 to 25 September 2026, a Georgian delegation led by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, participated in the Global Sustainable Transport Forum 2026 held in the People’s Republic of China. H.E. Paata Kalandadze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China, also attended the event.

 

The Forum addressed issues related to improving the capacity, reliability, efficiency and competitiveness of the Middle Corridor, as well as transport policy coordination and opportunities for infrastructure development.

 

As part of the visit, the Georgian delegation also held bilateral meetings with representatives of Chinese government institutions and major companies.
